Wal-Mart Name Tag From the Early 1990s

This is a Wal-Mart name tag that employees wore in the early 1990s.  Wal-Mart called their workers associates, which I think they still do today.  This was before they removed the dash from their name.

Downtown South Bend, Indiana 1929

REX RISHER, long a prominent name in law enforcement circles, provided this photograph of downtown South Bend, Indiana as it looked from the air in 1929.  About one third way down the photo from the top at the extreme left is City Hall.  At the extreme right at about the same level is the Sherland Building.

The plane was owned by the Saint Joseph Valley Aviation Club of which Risher was a member and was based at the South Bend Municipal Airport, located at Brick and Fir Roads north of State Road 23.

Risher served in the uniforms of city and state police, later was deputy U.S. Marshal.
